Browse Transylvania 72-Hour Releases

A Transylvania County 72 hour release list should identify people whose county custody ended during a defined three-day span. That wider search can catch events around a weekend or holiday that a same-day check misses. It still needs a release timestamp from an official custody record. The county portal can locate former bookings, while state corrections, court records, and notification systems can supply context for a named person. None of those tools alone turns an admission date, arrest post, or roster disappearance into proof of release in the last 72 hours.

Transylvania Three-Day Release Window

The official sources reviewed on July 30, 2026 did not provide a dedicated rolling 72-hour release list for Transylvania County. The Detention Center portal includes released-mode routes and a days control, but its visible released result uses Admit Date. That field marks the start of a booking. It cannot establish that county custody ended during the chosen three days.

A valid three-day list must be based on actual release timestamps. Define the interval in America/New_York and ask for nonmedical entry/release summaries that fall within it. Specify whether the request means the rolling 72 hours ending now or three complete calendar dates. Keep transfers in a separate category so a move from the jail to another custodian is not described as community release.

Important: A three-day booking search is not a three-day release search when the date column is Admit Date.

Transylvania Weekend Release Review

The three-day span is most useful when a Friday-to-Monday gap makes a one-day review too narrow. It can also catch an event near midnight or a record that was not visible at the first check. No official source supplied a Transylvania weekend processing rule, a holiday release timetable, or a public update cadence. Do not promise that a person will leave at a set time.

A court may enter an order before staff receive it, verify it, resolve all holds, and finish physical release. The order date can therefore differ from the jail’s release time. More than one case may also be active. Review the full three-day interval, then compare the sheriff’s custody summary with the court order or case disposition. If the record says transfer, identify the next agency rather than counting it with community discharges.

Note: Weekend review widens the evidence window; it does not change the meaning of each field used in the request.

Check Transylvania 72-Hour Releases

Start with the records office because the county does not publish a true browse-all 72-hour ledger. The live portal and NC SAVAN remain useful supporting channels. They answer current status and specific-person notification questions, not the full list request.

  1. Write the exact three-day start and end, include the Eastern time zone, and label the span rolling or calendar-based.
  2. Use the county portal to check present custody and locate likely former booking records.
  3. Ask the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office for entry/release summaries with release timestamps in that interval.
  4. Request release or transfer type and the receiving agency or destination when it is public.
  5. Check NC SAVAN for a named person’s custody event, but do not treat it as a permanent browse-all archive.
  6. Use eCourts for the legal order and NCDAC, BOP, or ICE if another custodian is involved.

The Detention Center can be reached at 828-884-3147 for current status. The Sheriff’s Office main number is 828-884-3169. A phone response can guide the search, but a written entry/release summary is more durable. The Transylvania released-inmate record process is the better route for one person whose identity or custody path needs a full review.

Transylvania 72-Hour Record Fields

The released portal and an entry/release summary should not be merged into one imagined feed. The portal’s released grid shows booking-oriented facts, while the requested record supplies the end-of-custody fields needed for a three-day list.

FieldUse in a 72-hour review
Full name and identifierMatch the correct person and booking episode using more than a name alone.
Admit date and timeLocate when county custody began; never use it as the release date.
Release date and timeDetermine whether the event falls inside the stated three-day interval.
Release categoryExplain bond, court-authorized discharge, sentence completion, or another recorded outcome.
Transfer type and destinationKeep movement to another custodian out of a community-release count.
Authorizing recordConnect the custody end to a public court order or pretrial agreement when available.

The state retention schedule expressly includes active and inactive inmate incarceration records, entry/release summaries, court commitment and release orders, work-release records, and pretrial-release agreements. Item 53 authorizes destruction three years after release or transfer, subject to local adoption, longer retention, and official holds. The public portal’s unknown online retention is not the same rule.

Transylvania Released Search Limitations

The county application has released-mode routes for a landing page, inmate results, and charge results. Those routes can redirect when opened outside the application’s expected session or mode. In a released-mode session checked on July 30, 2026, the visible result fields included full name, age, race, sex, and Admit Date. Optional search data can include name components, primary charge, court type, and arresting agency.

The official Sheriff app interface adds Inmate Search, Recent Arrests, and VINELINK. Its “Recent Arrests” label remains booking-oriented, and it cannot be substituted for a list of releases over the weekend.

The official released-charge route is represented by the captured screen below.

This channel can help find an inactive booking. It does not show a release time, release type, or online update schedule in the sampled result. Record those limits each time the source is used, since a dynamic portal can change.

Note: Released mode locates former bookings, but only a release timestamp defines the requested window for Transylvania County.

Transylvania Custody Source Comparison

County, state, and federal systems cover different custody episodes. A person can leave Transylvania County’s roster yet remain confined elsewhere. The correct source follows the custodian, not the person’s home county.

SourceWhat it answersWhat it does not prove
Transylvania Sheriff recordWhen the county booking ended and whether release or transfer was recorded.Final discharge from NCDAC, BOP, or ICE.
NC SAVAN/VINELinkA specific custody event or notification from a participating county or state feed.A complete permanent list of everyone released over three days.
NCDAC OPIState prison and community-corrections status, including actual release fields when present.A county-only release that never entered NCDAC.
North Carolina eCourtsThe order, case events, and disposition that may explain release authority. The moment jail staff completed physical release.
BOP or ICE locatorCustody information within that federal system, subject to each tool’s limits.Community release from the Transylvania jail.

A no-result in any one system is not proof of release. Try spelling variants and identifiers, confirm the reporting agency, and request the source record. When the sources conflict, state the conflict or wait for the custodian’s response rather than choosing the simpler account.

Request Transylvania Three-Day Records

Address a narrow request to the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office or Detention Center at 153 Public Safety Way, Brevard, NC 28712. Ask for nonmedical entry/release summaries whose release timestamps fall within the exact interval. Request name, booking identifier, admission time, release time, release or transfer type, and receiving agency when public. Electronic uncertified copies are a sensible default, and the requester can ask for a fee estimate before work begins.

North Carolina G.S. 132-6 calls for access at reasonable times and copies as promptly as possible. It does not set a universal response-day count. G.S. 132-6.2 generally limits ordinary uncertified-copy charges to direct reproduction cost and permits a reasonable special service charge for extensive work. If the range is too broad, narrow it to the three dates and named record types.

If staff provide arrest sheets only, restate that the desired event is the end of custody. If they provide court orders only, ask for the summary showing when jail staff processed release. When the response says transferred, request the receiving agency to the extent public and track the person there.

Use Transylvania Same-Day Checks

Once the correct day is known, the Transylvania County 24-hour release process gives a tighter interval. It is useful for checking a new event without carrying two extra calendar dates. The same proof standard applies: use the release timestamp, identify the custody type, and keep transfer separate from community discharge.

Save the portal mode and access date when researching a dynamic result. Label every date exactly as the source does. “Admit,” “court,” “projected release,” “actual release,” and “discharge” are not interchangeable, even when they appear near one another.
